Cuban Ropa Vieja

Ingredients

  • 1 tbspVegetable/olive oil
  • 2 lbsFlank steak
  • 1 cupBeef broth
  • 8 ozTomato sauce
  • 1 Sliced onion
  • 1 Sliced green pepper
  • 2 Clovescrushed garlic
  • 6 ozTomato paste
  • 1 tspCumin
  • Sea salt, Black pepper

Instructions

    Season flank steak with salt and pepper.

    Brown on all sides in oil.

    Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl.

    Place steak in slow cooker; pour mixture over.

    Cover and cook on high 4 hours.

    Pull steak apart with forks.

  7. 7

    Serve over rice; garnish with cilantro or parsley.
